Julia is a Juris Doctor Candidate at University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she is selected to be a legal writing fellow and a research assistant.

She earned a Master in Music Theory from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she taught as a graduate instructor. In the course of this degree, Julia studied American popular music through her Masters thesis, "Originality in American Popular Music," in which she examined how instances of musical replication are treated under intellectual property law.

Julia's fascination with the intersection of music, originality, and IP/copyright law lead her to law school.
